Hi

We have been trying to see the signal of the PPG sensor in the GSR+ expansion board using Shimmer Connect, but we are not obtaining any signal. We have tried to put the sensor on the finger and on the ear, we have activated the Enable Internal Exp Power, and we have followed all the manual instructions.

We've seen that the accelerometer signal is coupled on the PPG signal.
Is there something we are not considering?

Thanks
Alfredo

Hi Alfredo,

First, you should confirm that the green LED on the PPG sensor is turned on
when you are streaming. If not, you do not have a secure connection between
the GSR+ expansion board and the Shimmer3 mainboard. If this is the case,
you should open up the unit, secure the connection between the two boards
and verify functionality, before carefully reattaching the top of the
plastic enclosure.

Once you are sure that the PPG sensor is physically connected and turned on,
you will find the signal on Channel A13, rather than channel A12, as was
listed in the original documentation. Apologies for the confusion caused by
this change.

If you have any further technical problems of this kind, feel free to
contact ***@shimmersensing.com.

Best regards,

Niamh

We have tried to see the PPG signal this morning, and that was the problem.
We can see the signal perfectly in the channel A13.

Thank you very much!
